*verse 5: A prudent and wise son desiring a great future will seek his father’s counsel and listen eagerly to any advice he can gather. He will not be offended by correction, restrictions, or repeated warnings.
The family unit is designed so that the older generation can help the young to flourish. 
*Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray that our church be filled with families where words of leadership and discipline are shared and accepted in love. In this your name will be glorified. Amen.

Summary Story of All the 5 Principles.

We will use the story of the Blind Bartimaues ( Bhathemewu) 
Mark 10vs 47
When Bartimeus approached Jesus he already had Faith in God And he was specific about the God He prayed to.  And Jesus said to him * Go your faith has healed you*

Bartimaeus’ Asked in a specific manner. He said  I want to see When you know what you want , you are ready for a miracle. “ Ask and you will receive” John 16 vs 24

Bartimeius Believed that Jesus could and would heal him. 

Bartimeus had a confessed with his mouth, thereby also confessing his confidence in Christ. 

Bartimeus then “Received” his sight and followed Jesus Christ. 

Prayer Points
Lord we pray that we learn to speak into our existence. Lord may we keep our Faith Alive by speaking the promises of God. Lord we pray that  that as we have faith, we also have belief, confess and receive from you my God. Lord give us the ability to  use and follow these principles in all areas of our lives.

5th Principle :Power to Receive 
“ His divine Power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory “ 2 Peter 1 vs 3
We now have all the Principles sound the Law of creation : Faith,ask, believe , confess and finally receive . 
The word receive is a “verb” which is a “doing” word or an “action” word . The power to receive is to welcome and admit your desire into  it’s reality.
We can imagine the feelings, preparations and everything that goes around an expectant mother for nine months, including the prayers and the practical preparations that take place right up to the birth of the baby. There is always a special blanket or cloth/ towel prepared to receive the baby and wrap the baby at birth. The reception of one’s dream is quite the same. You know your dream is there, you can feel it inside you, and you visualize it’s manifestation. You have heard the Promises of God . You have the word of Faith. Even though you have not seen your dream as yet you believe it will be “birthed” healthy and strong.
Jesus said “whatever  you ask for in prayer , believe that you have received it, and it be yours” Mark 11vs 24.  We must receive in our minds and hearts first, what we are praying for before we can receive it in the natural. We must believe and know without  a shadow of doubt that , what we have asked for is ours.  We must remember that a delay is not a denial . It’s simply to “Wait” and be patient. James  1 vs4.  

Prayer Points 
Lord we pray that we always maintain an attitude of expectancy toward your desire. May we have the patience to wait and remember that receiving is only a matter of time.

4th Principle The Power to Confess. 
Romans 10 vs 8-10 . If you confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead , you will be saved . For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified , and it is with your mouth  that you confess and are saved. This shows that words are so powerful that our salvations and our relation ship with God is secured by what we confess. Words are so powerful that they can either free or condemn us. Matthew 12 vs 37 . Even in our everyday life such as in a court of law , words are so powerful that they can set you free or have you sentences to Prision. Parents have the power to curse or bless their children by their words. Genesis 27 vs 28-29 Esau was enraged  when he heard that his brother had been blessed by their Father. Equally Isaach was  angry and disappointed  when he learnt that he had been tricked and was powerless to reverse his confession: blessing to his son. 

Prayer Point: 
Lord we pray that we always remember that we create our own world by what we say. In the midst of storms of life we speak faith and reject fear.

3rd Principle :Power to Believe.
You are what you believe.
Our belief systems shape how we live our lives, how we interact with others and how we see ourselves and what we dare to dream . 
A Christian’s belief system is shaped from the Biblical view and we believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word . We also believe in the physical realm and also in the spiritual realm. We believe that when we accept Jesus as our personal Saviour He becomes Lord and Overseer of our lives , then we enter into the Kingdom of mankind , but we also operate  spiritually in the Kingdom of God. As Believers we believe that we have God’s power working within us Ephesians 3 vs 20
Therefore we must believe that we are wise, strong, powerful and we have the ability to receive miracles. Therefore  we have the power to change circumstances around us through prayer . We have seen Jesus encouraging his disciples and telling them that all things are possible if they believe. We need to change some of our misleading belief systems . We can do so by changing our sources of information. Remember “Faith comes by hearing the truth and the word of God Let us change what we are hearing  and what we are listening to and replace it with  Reading the word of God  , this can even be aloud so that we hear the Word of God and create a belief system of truth. We must submit to Christ and his Word until  His spiritual influence reshapes our beliefs. Another way of changing our beliefs is by keeping good company. 1st Corinthians 15vs33  says Bad company corrupts good character. 

Prayer Point 
Father we pray that our belief systems will change  as we know God more and more and with an ambition to be more and more like Him. 

#Belive in God’s supernatural power.
#Believe in your power.
#Believe for a healthy mind

Day 2

 

2nd Priniciple : Just Ask
God is waiting for us to ask  so that He can answer and give us His desires for us. God wants to Bless, Protect and Provide for us. In Mark 11vs24 Jesus challenges the disciples to ask.When we ask God - we Glorify him. He is not burdened by our requests. In Matthew 11vs 28 God is encouraging us to come to Him and he will give us rest. Sometimes even if we don’t know what to ask From God , we can even ask God for guidance on “what to ask” 
We can ask God for anything 
just like  Solomon did in 1st Kings 3 vs5 and God will always give us more than we ask for .Ephesians3vs 20
When we ask we should ask in the name of Jesus Christ. 
We should also be specific when we ask God . Remember Jesus taught us how to Pray in Matthew 6 vs 9-13. Here Jesus gave us an effective template for effective asking 

Prayer Point:
Lord we ask you in Faith for our desires. As we ask you God we already believe that we have received.

Everything is possible to those who dream and equally everything is possible to those who believe This week we are going to look at 5 Key Principles around the Law of Creation. The key principle being that man was made in the image and likeness of God who by the Power of His spoken word created the entire  universe This is the Law of Creation.- to speak and to create with words of faith. Like God we have the ability to control, affect change and influence our environments through what we believe and speak into being. 
1) 1st Principle : Power of Faith
Everything we do in life is based on Faith. The Bible has numerous examples of faith and definitions of faith. 
Hebrews 11vs1  Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see
Faith is also not a feeling but a powerful constant that determines whether you will ever attain that desired goal or not . Without Faith Noah would not have built the Ark, Moses would have turned back and Abraham would not have offered his son. Also Faith comes by hearing , therefore the more we read as well as listen to and hear the Word of God our Faith increases.Faith is so Powerful as shown in Ephesians 2 vs 8-9 we are saved  through it. 
Therefore we must make building our faith in God a daily process . Let us remember that God loves us and Christ died for our sins Romans 5vs 8. God is the God of his words and God works miracles and He still works miracles today. Therefore kindle a spirit of faith and make Faith your lifestyle, trusting in God even for the simplest of desires. Develope an active Spirit of Faith James 2 vs 14-17 Faith without action is dead . And finally we need to be aware that we must be willing to make sacrifices for what we believe in.  A man reaps what he sows. If you sow seeds of faith, persistence and patience for your dreams you will in turn reap rewards of that sowing . 

Prayer Point 
Faith is a powerful weapon to have .
Pray that  you have faith in yourself and pray that you keep your connection with God based on your faith in God .

DAY SIX: ISAIAH 45:3 DIGGING FOR DIAMOND
 
4​I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
 
In God’s eyes we are all unique, created in his image.  Each one of us are a masterpiece designed to shine in his eyes yet for most of us we don’t see the treasures hidden in us.  I can liken each of one of us to a diamond.  A diamond is multifaceted, often brilliantly cut with 58 facets.  It shines and if you look deep inside the diamond, you can see fire in it.  
 
What am I saying, that in God’s eyes you are a diamond that he shaping to maximise your fire.  However, in the undisciplined pursuit of more earthly things we lose sight of what matters and what God has in store for us. You cannot reflect the life of God when you are spinning, running around with no time to rest. It impossible.
 
To lead a life where we find the diamond hidden in the treasures that God has in store for us, we need to be focused, ask God for clarity; Be still to hear his word and above all know that He is God.
 
Prayer Points
Lets pray that we may each find hidden treasures that God has in store for us and that are lives are transformed.

DAY FIVE: ISAIAH 55:8​THE WAYS OF GOD
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
 
This follows from yesterday’s theme.  As we can clearly note, the ways of God are different.  I can break them down to two things: Surprise ways and Higher ways.  What do I mean by that:
Surprising Ways
1​. That God answers us in different ways because of our uniqueness and his love for each of use.  
2​. His ways are different from ours.  We can have our own plans and God has a different plan for us.
3​. Ways of God goes beyond just thinking.

Higher ways
Higher ways refer to Principles of faith and prayer we use that are the same but ways God answers are different.  As children of God, we need to:  
 
1​. Say Lord let your will be done
2​. Accept what God gives you
3​. Trust Him to work as he sees best
Ultimately, we need to understand and acknowledge that whatever the situation you are facing there is only one answer and that is God; that whatever the situation God can and will carry you through.  For Him what matters is what is inside not out!
 
Prayer Point
Lets pray that we learn to Trust God and accept the way our prayers are answered.

DAY FOUR:​PHILIPPIANS 4:12-13​ . LIVING IN CONTENT
 
12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
 
In today’s world, we depend on things that are around us instead of the spirit of God.  When things are going right, we often forget God and only seek him when things are not right.  When such happens, we pray fervently to God, making promises that we know we are not going to keep, trying to bargain with God.  One thing we must know is that God is for us but he answers our prayers in different ways.    We only seek God because we want Him to take us to another level.  Sometimes when certain situations happen in our lives, we ask God why me? When God allows a situation to happen., He has a reason why it happens the way it does.
 
As Christians we need to learn and understand what it means by Being Content in God.  
 
1​. Being Content in God means seeking Him daily as if there is nothing you need but that he is there for you.  
2​. Being Content in God means serving Him come what may but not saying your situation determines how you serve God.
3​. Being Content in God means knowing that God is in control!
 
By focusing and zooming in on God , applying these principles, you will be amazed how much Peace can come into your life!

Let’s pray that we focus on Being Content with God

DAY THREE: Galatians 2: 1-10 FREEDOM IN CHRIST
 
Paul Accepted by the Apostles
2 Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also. 2 I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain. 3 Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek. 4 This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. 5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.
 
6 As for those who were held in high esteem—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favouritism—they added nothing to my message. 7 On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised,[a] just as Peter had been to the circumcised.[b] 8 For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles. 9 James, Cephas[c] and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. 10 All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.
 
This is continuing the theme from yesterday but from a slightly different angle of fighting for freedom and supporting each other as Christians.  As we are all aware, there is a spiritual warfare being waged against us and it’s a fight that affects us.  We need to stand up against this with the Gospel of Grace.   How can we do this?  There are 3 things we can do as individuals
 
1.       To be witnesses to the Gospel of Salvation
Fear is a powerful thing often stopping us from making decisions that affect our lives and mission in life.  We fear letting people into our lives, sharing what matters to us, our fears and aspirations.  This holds us back in lives.  Ask yourself what is holding you for sharing your story of what God has done if your life?  As Christians we should be, encourage and support each other to grow spiritually and be witnesses of what God is doing to our lives.
 
2.       Take a Courageous and Powerful stand about your beliefs
As individuals we often shy away of becoming taking certain views because we don’t want to be seen as different.  At times we end of agreeing to something we don’t believe in because we see it as an easy way out to just go along with the majority.  But it doesn’t have to be that way. Instead the first thing to do is listen to people, get alongside them and listen to their views.  It is by listening to their views that you can be share you your beliefs in a manner that you know they will embrace.
 
3.       Reflect on your life and treasure what God has done in your life
Testify what God has done for your life no matter how small.  It is only by sharing our lives that we can understand each other and can be able to grow spiritually.
 
Prayer Points
Pray that we are called to be witnesses of the Gospel of Salvation and that we use our lives, what God has done for us to share with others.  Use this to minister to others.

DAY TWO: PUT ON YOUR ARMOUR OF GOD : EPHESIANS 6:10-20
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
 
We are living in times where there are wars ranging every day and in every corner of the world. The greatest being SPIRITUAL WARFARE.  Christians are being attacked and persecuted for their faith in God.  A clear example in this country is whereby Christians are not allowed to pray openly anymore.
 
There is an unseen battle going on in our lives every day.  However, God wants to equip us to be able to defend ourselves against these attacks by:
 
1.​Drawing strength from your ally who is Jesus Christ.  He stands up for you and is in you as long as you believe in him.  
2.​Being aware and recognising who your adversary is.  This is the place we should start from, who knowing your enemy is.  Remember our battle not against flesh and blood but the spiritual world.  Our adversary is the devil who has evil schemes aimed at your life.  We need to recognise the work of the evil one.  However as long as we have a relationship with our ally, Jesus Christ we can be able to stand up against our adversary.  
3.​Put on your full amour as stated in the verses above.  By putting on armour it is our protection against spiritual warfare and attack.  
4.​Deploy your arsenal that is resistance by using the Word of God and Prayer.  When you   speak the word of God, it brings out your faith. Whatever spiritual battle you face, find verses that speak to you.
 
Finally, as Christians we need to deploy our arsenal, stay alert, aware to the battle raging out there.  Only PRAYER and THE WORD are our TRUE WEAPONS.

Let’s Pray for God to protect us with this amour, particularly in these dark days of COVID where we don’t know what the future holds.????

DAY ONE: SURRENDER: Luke 22:39-46

Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives
39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. 40 On reaching the
place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” 41 He withdrew about a stone’s
throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me;
yet not my will, but yours be done.” 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened
him. 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling
to the ground.

45 When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from
sorrow. 46 “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into
temptation.”

We can make plans but God has other plans for us. Surrendering is about getting our lives aligned to God’s plan.
We know that surrender in military terms often means defeat but in God it means
absolute victory. Let us break it down in three points what surrender means:

1. Surrender means absolute victory. We surrender by choosing God’s way, doing things not by our
will but His will.
2. Surrender demands everything from us and if we follow God’s plan for us, it leads to victory.
3. Surrender demands Authority and that is us acknowledging that God has authority over us, our
lives and everything that we do.

When we surrender to God, He is well pleased with us and when learn to surrender, it,s not when
life ends but begins!

Prayer Points
Lets pray that we acknowledge God’s presence in our lives and willingly surrender everything to Him
for He has plans for us.????

Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?( NIV)

Brethren how many, by  actions, if not in word, are saying, “The Lord does not mean this for me. Perhaps He loves others, but He does not love me.”  

  All this is harming our own souls; for every word of doubt we utter is inviting Satan’s temptations; it is strengthening in us the tendency to doubt, and it is grieving from us the ministering angels. When Satan tempts you, breathe not a word of doubt or darkness. If you choose to open the door to his suggestions, your mind will be filled with distrust and rebellious questioning. If you talk out your feelings, every doubt you express not only reacts upon yourself, but it is a seed that will germinate and bear fruit in the life of others, and it may be impossible to counteract the influence of your words. Brethren you may be able to recover from the season of temptation and from the snare of Satan, but others who have been swayed by your influence may not be able to escape from the unbelief you have suggested. There fore i would like to encourage us to speak only those things that will give spiritual strength and life!   For  Angels are listening to hear what kind of report we are bearing to the world about our heavenly Master. 

Prayer points 

Lord let our conversation be of Him who liveth to make intercession for us before the Father.  
May praises to God be on our lips and in our heart always. 
 Help us to make it a rule never to utter one word of doubt or
discouragement.  But to brighten the life of others and strengthen their efforts, by words of hope and holy cheer.

Hebrews11:6 And
 without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.(NIV)
Jesus said  to his disciples, 
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
Mark 11:24( NIV)

Brethren do we take him at his word?
The assurance is broad and unlimited, and He is faithful who has promised.  Today i would like to encourage you all that when we do not receive the very things we asked for, at the time we ask, we are still to believe that the Lord hears and that He will answer our prayers. Brethrens at times we are so short-sighted that we ask for things that would not be a blessing to us, and our heavenly Father in love answers our prayers by giving us that which will be for our highest good—that which we ourselves would desire if with vision divinely enlightened we could see all things as they really are.  Brethren when our prayers seem not to be answered, we are to cling to the promise; for the time of answering will surely come, and we shall receive the blessing we need most. But to claim that prayer will always be answered in the very way and for the particular thing that we desire, is presumption. God is too wise to err, and too good to withhold any good thing from them that walk uprightly. 

Prayer  points 
Do not fear to trust Him, even though we do not see the immediate answer to our prayers.  Learn to rely upon His sure promise, for he says“Ask, and it shall be given to you.”

Day 3

 

John 15:4-5 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.... Without Me ye can do nothing.” 

Brethren , we are just as dependent upon Christ, in order to live a holy life, as is the branch upon the parent stock for growth and fruitfulness. Apart from Him we have no life. We have no power to resist temptation or to grow in grace and holiness. Abiding in Him,  we may flourish. Drawing our life from Him, we will not wither nor be fruitless. We will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.   

 Many  of us have an idea that we must do some part of the work alone. We have trusted in Christ for the forgiveness of sin, but now we seek by our  own efforts to live aright. But every such effort must fail.  

Prayer points 
Without Christ we can do nothing for our growth in grace, our joy, our usefulness,—all depend upon our union with Christ. 
 May our   communion with Him,be renewed daily, hourly,—by abiding in Him,—that we are to grow in grace.   
For ,he is not only the Author, but the Finisher of our faith.
 May we abide in him,not only at the beginning and the end of our course, but at every step of the way.

When you give your life to Christ you become a completely new creation. Brand new. God has accepted you into His beloved family. God declares you righteous. 

Prayer: 
- it’s time to tell the devil who you are in Christ. If God is for us and has declared you righteous, WHO can say otherwise. Pray and speak Righteousness upon your life and start seeing yourself as God sees you. 
- He is now your real father, and you become His real son or daughter. The Bible says "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God". 
- Today quit living like a foreigner; You are Royalty, His chosen one (1st Peter 2:9): Let us pray therefore and proclaim his excellences for calling us out of every darkness wi find ourselves in. 
- Pray and ask God to comes into your life with all His strength, glory and majesty, and make you strong and confident in Him. 

Fondly remember, You are now God's offspring. He is now your real father. Everything that belongs to Him is now yours. You have His nature, His life, His Spirit and His love. Everything God is and has is now available to you. You have become one with Christ Jesus.

Believe, and relieve in faith what God has instore for you.

Day 1

 

Acts 17:28 (NIV) For in Him we live and move and have out being. As some of your own poets have said, we are His offspring.

Brethren, We are in Christ. If you are in Him, He orders your steps. - His word says ‘Steps of the righteous person are ordered by the Lord (Psalm 37:23).

Prayer points
So When the world is shaking around you; Pray and encourage yourself in this word: I have my  being in Christ and I declare that I will not be afflicted by evil; in Jesus name.
- Paul declares it is  no longer I living but Him living through me. - Today, call on the Lord; claim your peace fir nothing will harm you: Jesus in you is in total control.
- Church let us not be afraid: Jesus is in you and you are in Him. Nothing will come to harm you. Let us pray and thank God for just like a parent will do all to protect his children so will God do everything to always protect his offspring.

Day 7

Strength, Joy and Peace I live with you
I guess all of you will agree that we currently living in a world that seems to be experiencing more and more unrest. The events of the last few months have seen health unrest (Covid-19), economic unrest and social unrest (Black lives matter). Yet in the midst of all this unrest is a promise Jesus made to his disciples, which is much needed today. Here is the promise from John 14:21


- “Peace is what I live you with; my peace I give you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”
It is one of the most amazing, wonderful and sweetest things to realise that just hours before Jesus was crucified he was concerned for the peace, joy and faith of his followers. Think of it, he is about to be crucified to death and his burden was to solidify in the souls of his followers peace joy and happiness
 This brings us to today’s key verse (Isaiah 26:3). If you and I spend sometime digging into the book of Isaiah together we would see that Isaiah focuses on the strength God gives his people so they can accomplish his purposes.

 

But where does this strength come from?

To understand, first we ought to realise that  prophet Isaiah is in this chapter looking forward to the “end of all things“( Revelations 21:1-22:5) Isaiah knows  that while things may not look good right now, God promises us His plans are good. He is moving us toward that day when death will be swallowed up and He  will wipe every tear from our eyes( Isaiah 25:8) He has ordained our peace (26:12)


But we aren’t just promised peace on the other side of eternity. Isaiah tells us how we can experience and walk in strength and peace, in this current situation;
- “ you keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever for the Lord God is an everlasting rock (Isaiah 26:3 -4)
The Hebrew word for the phrase “stayed on” that’s used in verse is Samak, which means to “ to brace, uphold, support.  In other words, those with minds that are fully braced, upheld and supported by truth and trust in God will be kept in peace.


This does not mean that our circumstances will feel peaceful. It doesn’t mean all our situations will suddenly get better. Nor does it mean the prayers we pray will suddenly get answered. But what it does mean is that our minds can be steadied with truth instead of overrun with thoughts of fear.


There is no power in the universe that can stop God from fulfilling His totally good plans for you (Job 42:2) hallelujah!!!!!
One of my favourite songs by Zack Williams   Sings about Joy, it goes like this
?“ there ain’t nothing gonna steal my Joy” ?
I guess this song is true because the world didn’t give the peace, joy and the world can’t take it away


Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever(Heb 13:8) The same God who rescued David from Saul,  is the same God who split the Red Sea so the children of Israel could safely pass through, and the one who promises strength to his people through Isaiah- he is the same God you can trust with your life forever .

Day 6

Trust God’s Plan
“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11) 
They key to understanding this scripture is found in the phrase “ for I know the plans I have for you” God has a plan for every life, however, often his plans are far different than ours.

Let me zone into my own life....each time When I am facing a difficult challenge, I find myself crying out to God “ ..what should I do?” Which way to go..?.
“Please show me your will and your way” I have prayed. However, It’s like this prayer of mine does  not work because things get even murkier. Then I ask myself  how can this be possibly gods will and how can a loving God allow this?. Why is he not answering my prayer.

 

The point here is; There is no such thing as unanswered prayer. God’s answer maybe “no” and we may not like that but that does not mean the Lord has not answered our prayer. What we do know is that when God does say “no” it is because the prayer we have offered is not a prayer that matches his eternal will. But we also ought to know that when the Lord answers “no”it is ultimately because an answer of “ yes” would not be good for us or his glory.The key is to believe. Discovering Gods will is tied in with being still. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.

 

Brethren, “stand firm on your faith. Fear not; be of courage; seek God; give thanks in every situation and allow his will to manifest.


 You see: God not only knows what, He also knows when, and how he plans to do it. He does not want us to force him to change his plans, nor does he want us to be fearful that He has no plans. What he wants is our faith to trust his plans. 


Therefore,  when we face difficult situations let’s reach in to that little faith in there, never to ask God to change  the situation around us ( his plan) but rather to change us so we can handle the situation better because God has a plan. Our duty is not to alter God’s plan but to allow him to use us even in the midst of it. 


So can I encourage someone  today,that when you don’t understand, when you don’t see his plan, when you can’t trace his hand, just trust his heart and his plan

Day 5

Seek after God:
Seeking after God should be our most priority.No matter what pressures come into our life, we will be able to handle them properly if we maintain this one priority above all else : “
“ ...Earnestly seek after God... “(Psalm 63:1)
What does it mean to seek after God?
Psalm 63:1 allows us to zone into the life of the man after Gods heart, David. David had everything, the highest position, unlimited possessions, and great power, yet none of it was enough. He describes himself as parched and thirsty for God (Psalm 63:1)

 

To seek after God means:
1. to have an intimate personal relationship with Him
2. To always  desire more of Him 
3. To pursue Him alone to fill the vacuum in our lives
David said I shall seek you earnestly, my soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you..” but didn’t David have the lord? Yes he did, but he wanted more, he wanted to go deeper. He was satisfied (63:5) but he wasn’t satisfied. He knew that there was more and his whole being craved it as a thirsty man in desert craves for water.


Let us be like David, let us crave more of Jesus.
Let us seeking more and more of his love
Let us seek his mark
Let us be thirsty for Him
He is the way the truth and the life. His word satisfies the soul


It doesn’t end there; David went on to describe what he experienced when he drank deeply of his love (Verse 2-4) and the same thing happened to the women Jesus met at the well that day. “She drank deeply of his love and was filled to overflowing “, We can too.”
Let us pray: Lord we thank you that you are our God and that you are the living water of life that satisfies the longing of our hearts. We pray that out passion and love for you will multiply morning by morning , for you alone can satisfy our inner longing.

Day 4

Be Still and Let God Move:

Brethren,I wonder if you have ever noticed that the entirety of Psalms 46 is written in the third person ,However, when we reach verse 10, something happens, the point of view shifts from third person to second. Like all great poetry, when  form/pattern is broken you know something important is about to be communicated and it is the case here in Verse 10. Instead of writing about the Lord, here the Lord himself addresses the reader directly. He says:

“Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among nations, I will be exalted in the Earth” Psalm 46:10.


As God addresses the Israel, he is not  just telling them to be still or rest. Instead, God was commanding them to stop fighting and open their eyes to who he is. In that light,God is commanding the children of Israel to stop trying to do things by themselves. He is asking them to stop stressing about the battle ahead and trust him.Technically what he is saying to them/us is  “Wake up! I am the Lord. I am your refuge and your strength. You have nothing to fear or worry about when I am with you. I will fight your battles, so get out of my way, step back and open your eyes and acknowledge who I am and what I can do. Let me be God. Don’t try to do my job for me. Be patient, be still and let me go to work”.


Let this verse be an encouragement to all of us today ,especially our dad Mr Sibanda  as he recovers, may you be reminded that regardless of the pain you are going through right now; ..trust that He is God, trust that He has already fought your battle. Remain still and allow Him to move.
When He moves,miracles happen. 


When He moves strongholds become looser and healing becomes our portion.
Prayer: Father we pray that you teach us to be still. We also pray for a move in Mr Sibanda’s life, our church, our lives and in everything that we do because we know that when you move miracles happen. Amen

Day 3

Stand Firm and Be of Courage
“Be strong and courageous.. ..”Joshua 1:9
We all know that as Christians we will be challenged in our faith. Sometimes the challenge comes in the form of temptation. The enemy knows exactly when to target us- when we are at our weakest. And he knows precisely what tempts us mostly. And of course we are challenged when we face trials that cut us to the bone-grief or loss, sickness and disappointment can all lead us to waiver in our belief. 


Isaiah 7:9b NIV reads “if you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all”
So when faced with challenges to our faith how does the bible encourage us to stand firm? It tells us that;
1. We have to know upon what or whom we are standing (Psalm 40:1-2, John14:6, John 17:17

2.  We will have to resist the devil and his lies ( 2 Corinthians 10:5, 1 Peter 5:8-9)
3. We can’t waiver between faith and doubt(1 Kings 18:21) Romans 4:20, Consider Abraham and his faith. He was a man just like you and me. God gave him a great promise with little evidence that he could actually see.  

 

!!!Mmmh I Love that verse!! Abraham made mistakes. He wasn’t perfect. But he was fully persuaded”  My question to you brethren is “Are you fully persuaded today that God is able to do what he has promised”?


If you are still struggling to believe God because of trials , tribulations or temptations that you are going through, let me encourage you  today; that the Lord of all can set you free. He can lead you out of that miry place of doubt , confusion and give you a firm place to stand on. He will hold you.


I urge you to open you arms wide to the love of Jesus and let him lift you up. Trust that he is God. He will keep you in his love and in his truth
So stand firm Brethren , press on - be courageous and free- never be held back by fear or defeat.
Let us pray : Lord help us to stand firm in faith. Thank you that in Jesus nothing can separate us from your love.

Day 2

Fear Not:
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 we all  have been living in fear. The physical effects of fear can be serious and devastating. Fear can lead to instability, unhappiness and a lack of contentment but it is far more serious to realise what fear can do to our spiritual condition. Fear is the enermy of faith. It saps spiritual vitality and it can paralyse the soul.
1 Peter 2:17 Teaches us of the Godly Reverential fear. Yet 1 John 4:18

Reads “perfect love casteth our fear”. Fear in this verse, is used in the bad sense because perfect love does not cast out all fear-not constitutional fears, nor Reverential fear but unwholesome and Carnal kind of fear are dispelled by true love for the Lord.
It is this carnal type of fear that has been instilled in us by the pandemic


-Carnal fear is the kind of fear expressed by Adam when he had sinned (Genesis 3 :10)
-It is the kind of fear expressed by the children of Israel when Joshua and Caleb tried to convince the rebellious people to Leave Kadesh-Barnes and go up into Canaan. In (Numbers 14-9)
-It is the kind of fear expressed by Felix after he heard the Apostle Paul preach about righteousness and temperance and judgement to come (Acts 24:25)
-Carnal fear is the kind that makes us live in bondage ( Hebrews 2:15 )Brethren,we should not be kept in bondage by Carnal fear but delight in reverential fear because we are not alone (Psalm 23:4) 


So what is the remedy of fear?
-We can conquer fear by looking to the face of the Lord ( Psalm 34.4)
Fear departs in the presence of the Lord. Time and time again Jesus  introduced himself with the words “it is I, be not afraid...”
-When Abraham feared his enemies(Genesis 15:1)God said Fear not...
-When Hagar feared  famine (Genesis 21:17-19)God said fear not...
-When Moses faced the natural forces of the Red sea (Exodus 14-13) God Said Fear not.....
- When Jacob was stunned  because of disbelief(Genesis 46:3-4) God said Fear not...
- When Israel feared the future, ( Isaiah 43:1-2)God said (.. FEAR NOT..) 
Infact;the admonition “fear not” is mentioned 365 times in the bible; One for each day of the year. So fear not brethren for God did not promise that he will be with us some of the days but till the end of age.


Prayer: Lord I pray that we do not be anxious, that we trust and obey because you commanded us to Fear Not. Amen
